To provide excellent opportunity from the beginner to the advanced fisherman and their family to truly experience the finest light tackle, offshore and backcountry fishing.  Nothing less that 100% effort to make sure your expectations art met, most of the time exceeded.

Our versatility to have the opportunity to fish “both sides” offers more than the average Captain.  If the weather gets bad we can change gears from offshore to backcountry depending on each individuals needs.  Don’t let a bad day of weather ruin your day in the Keys.  We supply everything you need accept food and drinks on every charter.

We treat every client like you are the only one we have to make every day a special one.

Here is the photo from last year. Great to see you – hope next trip is longer! Nick had a great day. We has dinner at Lazy Days and the fish was fantastic! We had 1/3 panko fried, 1/3 broiled and 1/3 Lazy Days style for 7 people. I’ll keep you posted on swimming results.Thanks again.Chuck

Listening to tunes while your fishing is living the life. Captain Scott is great fishing and great company.

If a monster fish took your bait (and this happens often with Capt. Scott) he always has another pole to use.

Always ready with newly rigged rod, a cold beverage or a good story, fishing with Capt. Scott is as good as it gets.

You have the choice to go offshore (the big fish) or backcountry (more action) – Capt. Scott has all the Florida Keys fishing bases covered.

Drinking and fishing is a perfect combo but your only drinking soda of course for the under aged.

Capt. Scott Keller — Bad Habit Charters Islamorada, Florida-Atlantic Offshore:
According to the International Game Fish Association, more saltwater world records have been established in the Florida Keys than any other angling destination on the globe.

The Keys are bordered by the Gulf of Mexico on one side and the Straits of Florida on the other. Outside our reef, the water plunges to depths of 1,500 feet or more. Here, colorful dolphin fish teem just below the surface along mats of floating Sargassum grass or pieces of driftwood. Billfish, the biggest prize of them all, cruise out here too.
Species caught: blue marlin, white marlin, sailfish, spearfish, kingfish, dolphin, wahoo, tuna, barracuda, cobia and more.

1. What Should I bring?

ANS:1. All you have to bring on any charter is what you want to eat and drink and also don’t forget a camera.

2. What is Provided?

ANS:2. Both Vessels come complete with custom rods and reels and all necessary USCG equipment.

3. What should I wear?

ANS:3. Bring Sunglasses and Sunscreen of at least 30SPF. Also a Hat and Rain gear, if in the forecast.

4. What if the Weather turns bad?

ANS:4. If the weather turns bad, I will make the call depending on wind, rain, thunderstorms etc. There are situations where we can make a decision to either fish offshore or in the backcountry, based on the weather-water.

5. Who cleans the Fish and do I get to keep the fish?

ANS:5. Any and all fish will be cleaned and bagged for your travel or dinner that night. You have the option of keeping some fish or all the fish.

6. Do you offer Fly Fishing?

ANS:6.We do offer Fly fishing, but we don’t specialize in it. Depending on the time of year, May and June we do Tarpon backcountry and Mahi Mahi offshore.

7. How many people are allowed for an Offshore Charter?

ANS: 7. The offshore charter can handle up to 6 people

8. How many people are allowed for Backcountry Charter?

ANS:8. The backcountry boat can handle 3 to 4 maximum.

9. Are Children allowed?

ANS:8.We welcome all families for offshore and backcountry–from Beginners to Expert.

10. What are your Payment policies if I cancel?

ANS:10. We do have special rates for certain times of the year. We require a $200.00 deposit at the time of the boat booking. We accept major Credit Cards or you can mail us a check.
We have a one week cancellation policy on all charters.
